Enrolling in our school is a very straight forward process. Priority goes to families in our Catchment Area.

Families of students wishing to enrol at Darra State School who are out of our Catchment Area are required to complete an Expression of Interest form.  Out of Catchment Enrolments will be dependent on our capacity in each year level and will be offered in order of receipt of your paperwork.

Helpful information:

We are accepting 2024 enrolments!

If you are in our Catchment Area:

  1. Complete the Education Department's enrolment form for each child enrolling.
  2. Collect an Enrolment Pack from the office which includes an Enrolment Agreement, Permission Forms, as well as a Parent Handbook and Student Code of Conduct
  3. Present an original birth certificate and/or passport for each child (must be sighted by the enrolments officer to complete the enrolment process).

Upon receipt of your application, you will be advised of an enrolment interview time with the Principal or a delegate of the Principal.  Please make sure you read the Parent Handbook and Student Code of Conduct prior to your interview.

At the meeting, the Principal will discuss the details and expectations of your child(ren)'s enrolment. The Student Code of Conduct, School dress code, Homework policy, and the Attendance and absences policy will also be discussed.

Once the enrolment interview has been conducted and the enrolment forms have been finalised, you will be able to organise uniforms, books and fees that need to be paid. Your child may start once they have completed the interview and have a full school uniform.

Please contact the office directly for details on this process.

If you are out of our Catchment Area:

  1. Please complete a separate Expression of Interest form for each child enrolling. Send the completed form by email or post to the school. Or deliver it in person to our Administration Office.
