Darra State School proudly offers an after-school Homework Centre. Homework is an important part of every child’s education and development. Finding the time to help your student/child to get their homework completed can be a challenge for busy families.
Our Homework Centre aim to support students’ learning, development and engagement in school and forge strong supportive links between home and school. Our Homework Centre will also support students to develop good study habits and provide additional learning time for students with their peers.
Our Homework Centre is an after-hours opportunity to complete homework and reading, supervised by teacher aides. These sessions will be held in the Library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in Weeks 2 - 9 of each School Term. These sessions will be capped at 24 students per session. If you choose to register your student, an expression of interest will be sent to families each term and spaces are allocated on a first-come first-serve bases, however, children who miss out one term will be prioritised the next.
