Early Years Learning - 2B

Riley and Mahdi working hard on their persuasive text.
In 2B, students learnt about writing persuasive texts. They learnt that the purpose of a persuasive text is to convince someone. They compared characters from fairy tales stories to characters in fractured fairy tales. Students chose a character to write their persuasive text. They compared the same character in both stories to find similarities and differences of the character. Students used the acronym ‘OREO’ to help guide their writing of the structure of a persuasive text. Firstly, they stated their ‘Opinion’, next gave ‘Reasons’, followed by ‘Evidence’ and lastly ‘restated their Opinion’. Year 2 students enjoyed writing their preference and persuading an audience.
